Balloon transportation:
I've placed this at the top of the free baby shower games list. Because this party idea has always generated squeals of laughter wherever I've seen it played. Here's how to play it. Place two laundry baskets at the ends of the room. Fill one of them with colorful balloons. Now divide the guests into two or three teams. Someone from the first team picks up a balloon, sets it between her legs.

To play this baby shower game, she now has to walk across the room carrying the balloon with her legs and to put it into the second laundry basket. She has to do it without using her hands and without dropping the balloon. Not so easy!

She'll waddle & wobble across the room. While playing this free baby shower game, she's allowed to hop, or jump over the basket to drop the balloon in. Once she gets the balloon into the basket or drops it on the floor, she runs back and then someone else from the same team goes with the next balloon. Team that gets the most balloons in wins. Twist to the tray game:

After the tray is passed around, the mother-to-be takes the tray and leaves the room. Now, ask questions about the mom-to-be, NOT about the tray! That's an unexpected twist to the free baby shower game! What color was her dress? Her lipstick? What kind of footwear was she wearing? How tall is she? You can even have another person leave along with mom-to-be and question guests about either of them. This is among the great party ideas - and particularly 'mean', since everyone is busy memorizing all the items in the tray!

New use for string:
Here's another of those 'crooked' free baby shower games! Have everyone cut a length of string from a ball. They'll all think it's for measuring mother-to-be's waist. Now tell them that they've to wrap the string around their fingers and while doing so, keep talking about how they know mom-to-be and give some advice for her!

Fill-in-the-blanks:
Yet another neat free baby shower games for laughs. Write out a short story about the mom-to-be in advance. For e.g., the story of how she met her husband for the first time, or a trip somewhere. Then remove key words, names, etc and leave blank spaces instead. Number the blank spaces. For each number, the guests choose a word, name, place, thing, - anything at all.

Finally, fill in the blanks with the selected words - and read story out aloud! Neat game that'll have guests laughing till their sides really ache!
