Secrets of spectacular baby shower decorations

Baby shower decorations are an area where you can truly let your creativity run riot! There are plenty of great ways to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere, pamper the expectant mother, while jelling with your party themes (if you have one). Using balloons artfully is one of the simplest, yet most impactful ways to create a mood. Incorporate several 'color spots' around the room while doing your baby shower decorations. You can do this by tying a bunch of helium filled balloons to an anchor like a cuddly bear, booties, etc. Use an odd number of balloons for maximum effect. Let them float about 7 feet or more high, to keep them above eye level. If your party themes require it, choose the balloon colors accordingly. Fix them to the ceiling, maybe over the food table or other focal point. Then twist each streamer and attach them to the walls about 6 to 7 feet height, equally spaced. That's a simple, yet very effective way to create a festive atmosphere.

Use confetti shaped like baby items, or those saying 'It's a boy' or 'It's a girl' and sprinkle it on the tables as baby shower decorations. If the event is before birth and the sex of the baby is not known, use both. Again, if you use party themes, you should be able to get confetti that matches it.
